The Stepping Stones – Taking Bold Steps of Faith – Part 3

Subtitle: Divine Speed

God is calling me to operate in His divine speed. He will provide the perfect opportunities and seasons, but I must be ready to move within His timing.

God created the entire universe—all of existence—in just one week. That is what we call speed. God operates in speed, and we are called to move in alignment with His divine pace. He has given me greater speed, and I need to be quicker in taking bold steps, because some opportunities won’t wait for long. We must stay alert, avoiding distractions, frustrations, and the temptation to delay because we're waiting on others. Don’t use the excuse of waiting for someone else.

We don’t always associate God with speed. Sometimes we think He moves slowly, but He is in fact a God of divine speed. Our perception of slowness often comes from not understanding His timing.

2 Peter 3:8–9

God is waiting for us to come to repentance. There are things He wants to unlock in my life, but He is waiting for me. He created me before time began, and He has been waiting for me all my life. It’s not God who is slow—often it’s us, especially when we are out of sync with His timing.

Isaiah 60:22

God is never slow to act. He simply moves according to His appointed time. When that time comes to fullness, we must be ready to act swiftly.

When God speaks and gives us a word, it’s not a suggestion—it’s an instruction or a command. It’s vital that we respond quickly and make the right decisions. We must begin deciding what actions to take in response to what He has said, opening our hearts and minds to possibilities we never imagined.

Speed releases blessings. It helps me align with God, stay in step with His timing, and overcome procrastination and delay. A prompt, righteous decision can spare me much heartache. God is calling me now to act swiftly.

I must stop letting things pass me by and quickly take hold of what God is giving me. If I continue to respond slowly, these opportunities will stop coming.

A Warning: If, by the time this message on bold steps of faith has run its course, you still haven’t acted, it’s a sign that the opportunity has passed. When God starts making you feel uncomfortable, that is the moment to act. But when that discomfort lifts and He goes silent, it means the opportunity is gone.

When God stops speaking after speaking to us so much, it’s a sign that He is not pleased.

As long as He is still speaking, the gate is still open—it’s not too late. But if we fail to act while the door is open, we risk missing it.

God’s Instruction: Receive His divine speed—and start acting fast.

What God is doing now will happen so quickly that everything will begin to move at great speed. We must move just as fast. Ask the Lord in prayer: “Am I moving too slowly?” “Should I go faster?” “Lord, just tell me once—should I go or not?”

Don’t make the Lord repeat Himself. Act the moment He speaks.

Amen
