Subtitle: Supernatural life through faith
Scriptures for the month of June: Isaiah 55:8-11 & Isaiah 43:18-19
As believers we’re not to give up or ever lose our faith in God, even after or when it seems like it’s too late and the deadline has passed. We continue to have faith in God.
The way God comes through suddenly is always supernatural, and as believers we’re to live a supernatural life. We need to trust in God time after time and live a supernatural life and this ought to become normal. We can experience this from today.
I need to have a realistic and accurate understanding of where my walk is with The Lord. I need to understand this so that I can walk a supernatural life in The Lord.
What is supernatural and how can we achieve this? It’s connecting with God on a level that most christians don’t ever try. Living a supernatural life is a person that doesn't settle for normal things, they believe in extraordinary things. Miraculousness is a normal expectation.
We have to build our own faith. Supernatural life is when the miraculous becomes our normal expectation, as well as having a persistence through faith and continuously believing in God. If God is my father, then I ought to believe Him. Rejoice in troubles, for The God who is always on time is going to do something. God doesn’t always tell us when He is going to do something, but He will comfort us and will tell us what He is going to do.
A supernatural life is really just believing God and believing who He says He is.
Matthew 17:24-27
We serve a God who knows how to respond to our needs, for when we’re stuck we need to rejoice for God will respond when there’s a need. We also see this when the displies were on the boat during the storm. Jesus always comes on time and always responds to needs, but faith is required.
There are levels in faith, but my faith will determine the supernatural life I’ll live on earth. We won’t thrive in Christ without the supernatural, but when we live in the supernatural we break the laws of nature. We don’t wait for time and natural occurrences like everyone else, but the level of our experience depends on the level of our faith. But even the lowest level of faith is enough to experience the supernatural.
Many christians detach from their faith the moment they face real life challenges. Many peoples’ faith is just faith for church or for spiritual matters, but when it comes to other things, then they compromise and they abandon their faith. Faith comes by hearing His word and He fills me with faith. It's not just believing in God for big things, but also for getting me out of big troubles and He will do so in His own time and way, but our faith is still required.
God often requires us to have an extraordinary faith to experience an extraordinary event. The deeper the trouble we’re in, the greater our faith needs to be.
If I do what God says, every day, my faith will grow. I need to test my faith. My word from God doesn’t just happen, it requires my faith to be involved.
Why is faith important? For God to be the on time God in my life.
John 11:17-27
In order for me to see God and see the supernatural and for me to experience Him as being the on time God, faith is key. And Martha didn’t just believe that Jesus could raise the dead, but believed that He would raise the dead and that He would raise Lazarus.
The more I know Him, the more faith I have in him, and the more my faith grows, the more supernatural experiences I have. It’s important to God that my faith grows. The higher my spiritual maturity, the higher the level of faith I can attain, so I need to grow and mature in the Lord. I do this by studying His word and spending time with Him, putting His word into practice. If I don’t practise I won't grow.
Levels of faith (nkjv):
Measure of faith - Romans 12:3
Dead faith - James 2:17
A little faith - Matthew 8:26
The genuine faith - 2 Timothy 1:5
The growing faith - 2 Thessalonians 1:3
The unwavering Hebrew 10:23
The greatest faith - Matthew 8:10
The more we grow in these levels, the more we’ll see the on time God showing up in my life and so much more.
“The Lord is saying I know your troubles but I need you to hold on to your faith.”
As I climb higher, it won’t be easy at first—I need to go through certain levels and challenges. But as I continue to grow, it will become easier.
Matthew 17:20 - This is A Little faith
How do I activate my faith? God gives me His faith when He gives me His word. Many times we sit on problems and we’re also sitting on faith. I activate my faith by getting a word. I need to start by believing that God will speak to me. I have to have a relationship with The Holy Spirit, this is paramount.
God will allow me to walk through the valley of the shadow of death, but He also says to fear no evil, but He will also walk through it with me. If I don’t pay attention to what God is doing, I’ll suffer unnecessarily and I’ll be at the wrong place at the wrong time. God is right there with us.
I need to start with the measure of faith. Just begin here, and God will start giving me more strength. God is always on time.
Amen.
